HMD Global launched the Nokia 2 budget category Android smartphone in the Indian market. Company made its first India-exclusive launch with the Nokia 2. The team aims to conquer the Indian entry-level smartphone segment.

The Nokia 2 features a 5-inch HD display (720 x 1280 pixels) with Gorilla Glass 3 and runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) out-of-the-box and is upgradable to Android 8.0 (Oreo). Just like other Nokia smartphones, the Nokia 2 is also scheduled to receive regular firmware and security updates in future. The new Nokia smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 212 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and comes with 8GB of internal storage and supports expandable storage up to 128GB via a microSD card. The Nokia 2 comes with both Single-Sim and Dual-Sim variant.

The Nokia 2 comes with 8 MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 5 MP selfie-camera. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, WI-FI, GPS, Micro-USB and 3.5mm headphone jack. It is powered by a 4100 mAh battery that delivers upto 2 days of usage.

Nokia 2 price in India has not been revealed yet, the company only revealed that it will bear a global average price of EUR 99 (roughly Rs. 7,500), and will become available from mid-November.
